Hammond Lake is a 640-acre lake in Tioga County with unlimited horsepower boating opportunities and good fishing. Surrounded by lush forested ridges, the lakes offer recreation for the entire family. Hammond Lake is a great place to take family and friends to fish and boat. Primary boating opportunities include moderate-draft fishing boats, sailboats and recreational runabouts. There are two access areas at the lake with loading docks, surfaced ramps and large parking lots. All personal watercraft operators and passengers, sailboarders, water skiers or anyone being towed behind a boat must also wear a life jacket. The entrance to Hammond Lake is located along Route 287 north of Wellsboro and south of the town of Tioga.
